Lime Ridge, February 2022
One of the coldest weekends of the year in the Four Corners with Nate, Leah, and Evan. After the sun went down, the shoreline froze and little ice sheets started forming on the river surface. In the morning they were slowly floating along, big ice disks turning to slush making strange shifting noises as they collided and disappeared into the afteroon. Nate filled his boot full of water before we even pushed off from the put-in.
